Kits now include bearing locknuts on all axis. Kit #1 now comes with new thrust bearings on X/Y axis. Kits may take up to 2 weeks to ship.
Small-Mill CNC kit #1 - X-Y-Z with BALLSCREWS
This Kit includes all the hardware for a 3 axis conversion. Two NEMA23 motor mounts for the table, and a NEMA34 mount for the Z axis, lovejoy couplings, timing belt and pulleys on Z-axis, locknuts on all ballscrews, thrust bearings for X-Y axis, THOMPSON BALLSCREWS, and metric cap screws & bolts. You MAY need to modify your mill to install this kit. THOMPSON BALLSCREWS HAVE 5 TPI.
Small-Mill CNC kit #2 X-Y-Z BALLSCREWS ONLY
This includes 3 BALLSCREWS for the X-Y-Z axis and hardware needed to mount the ballscrew nuts. This is for those wanting to make their own motor mounts.
Small-Mill Deluxe CNC kit PREMIUM BALLSCREWS
This Kit includes all the hardware for a 3 axis conversion. Most people no not have to modify the mill to install the ballscrew kit. You WILL need to cut about 1" off the stock X & Y axis screws, if you plan to use the stock leadscrews. These kits will fit both the standard X3 and the Super X3 sold by Grizzly, Harborfreight and several other retailers. If you have a doubt whether your mill will fit one of our kits, just email us for confirmation.
This kit includes, one Gas Spring, all nessesary mounting hardware, and a quality Drill and Tap. To install the gas spring kit, you simply need to drill and tap two holes with the provided drill, and tap. This kit will also work with non-CNC'd mills, so for those who want to keep their mill manual, this will help counter weigh the spindle and make rasing/lowering the spindle head easier.
